Seal the Concrete, Keep the Look

Most sealers protect concrete by covering it, which means gloss, a wet look, slick spots when it rains and a coating that eventually peels. ARMOVEX Invisible Seal works the other way: it goes down into the concrete and closes it up from the inside, so water, salt and spills have a much harder time getting in, while the surface looks exactly as it did before.

There is no film build at all, so there is nothing to wear off, flake or strip. Invisible Seal is made for exterior concrete and masonry exposed to sun and weather, and for interior floors you want protected without a coated finish. It is UV stable and non-yellowing and does not reduce skid resistance.

Prep

1. Clean the concrete of dirt, oil, grease, paint and any existing sealer or coating; it has to be able to soak in.
2. After pressure washing, wait at least 24 hours for the surface to dry.
3. Mask windows, metal railings, doors and landscaping from overspray.
4. Do not apply over standing water. Outdoors, check that no rain is expected before the surface dries.
5. Test a small area first. Clean concrete absorbs it right away; if it beads, clean again.

Application

1. Coat 1: spray evenly at 400 sq ft per gallon with a pump or airless sprayer until fully wet, without puddles. On walls, work top to bottom with a short, controlled run.
2. Let coat 1 dry to the touch.
3. Coat 2: spray again at 400 sq ft per gallon, paying attention to areas that absorb quickly.
4. If any spot of coat 2 dries in under 15 minutes, keep re-applying there until it stays saturated for at least 15 minutes.
5. If rain interrupts the job, mark where you stopped and pick up there once the surface is dry.
6. Wash tools and sprayer right away with warm, soapy water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it change the color or shine of my concrete?

No. Invisible Seal penetrates and leaves no coating, so there is no gloss, wet look or color change. The surface looks the same once it dries.

Is it made for outdoor concrete?

Yes. It is designed for interior and exterior use on horizontal and vertical surfaces, and it is UV stable and non-yellowing.

Will it make the surface slippery?

No. Nothing is left on top, and skid resistance is not reduced.

How much product do I need?

Plan on 2 coats at 400 sq ft per gallon per coat. A 400 sq ft patio needs about 2 gallons in total (1 gallon for each coat).

What if parts of the second coat soak in fast?

If any area of the second coat dries in under 15 minutes, keep re-applying there until it stays wet for at least 15 minutes.

Is it safe to use around my home?

Invisible Seal is Zero VOC, solvent-free and non-hazardous, and it is GREENGUARD Gold certified. Tools clean up with warm, soapy water.

How is it different from DURAVEX 9500?

DURAVEX 9500 is a clear topical sealer with a urethane booster that leaves a protective finish. Invisible Seal leaves no film at all, for when you want protection with no visible change.
