ARMOVEX® BCX

Single-Component Hybrid Sealer for Long-Term, Multi-Surface Protection

ARMOVEX BCX is a spray-applied, clear, single-component, water-based hybrid sealer designed to protect new and existing interior and exterior vertical and horizontal substrates from water penetration, surface wear, and environmental degradation.

ARMOVEX BCX provides a durable, UV-stable, non-yellowing barrier that enhances appearance, performance, and longevity on concrete, pavers, terrazzo, gypsum, brick, natural stone, masonry, asphalt, metal, wood, underlayments, epoxy, decorative substrates, coatings, flooring, and roofing systems.

When applied, ARMOVEX BCX penetrates the upper pore structure of cementitious and porous materials, forming a hydrophobic network that limits moisture absorption and surface contamination. At the same time, a clear, breathable film forms on the surface, providing a lasting shield that resists abrasion, staining, and chemical exposure.

ARMOVEX BCX is a single-component, environmentally responsible solution engineered for simplicity, performance, and sustainability. The formulation is completely free of solvents, APEO, benzophenone, formaldehyde, PFAS, and toxic additives. This supports superior indoor air quality and long-term environmental health while delivering exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, fuels, oils, and other aggressive industrial contaminants.

The product also prevents staining and biological growth, resisting algae, mold, mildew, and efflorescence, even in high-humidity or coastal environments. Its low-VOC, non-hazardous profile makes ARMOVEX BCX ideal for occupied, enclosed, or environmentally sensitive spaces.

ARMOVEX BCX is compatible with non-cementitious and coated substrates, including metal, wood, epoxy, and other resinous or composite systems. It forms a transparent, flexible barrier that bonds tightly to properly prepared surfaces, enhancing gloss, durability, and resistance to oxidation, chalking, and environmental wear.

In resinous flooring and industrial applications, ARMOVEX BCX functions as a clear topcoat or intermediate protective layer capable of encapsulating decorative flake, quartz, or broadcast media. Its fast-drying, single-component formulation simplifies installation while providing a smooth, sealed finish that resists yellowing, delamination, and surface degradation in high-traffic or moisture-prone environments.

ARMOVEX BCX remains vapor-permeable, preventing moisture entrapment and preserving substrate integrity. It is classified as non-hazardous and non-toxic, is solvent-free, and meets Buy American Act and Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliance requirements.

Features & Benefits

ARMOVEX BCX forms a clear, breathable protective film that shields interior and exterior surfaces from water penetration, abrasion, staining, and chemical exposure. Its hybrid penetrating and film-forming technology protects both within the substrate and at the surface for long-term performance.

The product bonds to a wide range of materials including concrete, pavers, terrazzo, wood, metal, epoxy, gypsum, asphalt, and composite systems, making it suitable for both new construction and renovation projects. ARMOVEX BCX delivers exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, fuels, oils, and industrial contaminants, ensuring durability in high-traffic, marine, and industrial environments.

Its UV-stable, non-yellowing formulation maintains a clear, color-stable finish, making it ideal for architectural and decorative applications. The water-based, low-VOC chemistry contains no APEO, benzophenone, formaldehyde, or PFAS, aligning with sustainability and green building standards.

ARMOVEX BCX installs easily by spray, roller, or brush with no mixing or multi-component systems required. It is compatible with decorative and resinous systems and can be used as a topcoat, intermediate layer, or broadcast encapsulant for flake, quartz, or sand. The product is fully compliant with Buy American Act and BABA requirements.

Precautions

Do not allow ARMOVEX BCX to come into contact with glass surfaces. If contact occurs, immediately wipe the area with a clean, water-saturated cloth and dry with a second clean cloth.

Avoid application during rain, high humidity, or when standing water or condensation is present. Ensure the substrate temperature is at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point to prevent condensation, improper film formation, or adhesion issues.

Coverage Rates

Two-coat coverage rate is approximately 125–175 square feet per gallon (3–4 square meters per liter), depending on surface finish and porosity.

Installation

Ensure the surface is clean, sound, and free of sealers, curing compounds, oils, grease, dirt, laitance, or any other bond-inhibiting contaminants before application. Installation should be continuous. Always test in a discrete area to confirm the desired finish prior to full installation.

Prepare the surface so it is clean, dry, and free of dust and debris. Mask or protect all adjacent areas not intended to receive ARMOVEX BCX.

If pigment is required, incorporate approved pigment directly into ARMOVEX BCX and mix thoroughly for 3–5 minutes at low speed until uniform in color. If no pigment is added, stir the product thoroughly at low speed for 3–5 minutes before application. Do not shake.

Pour ARMOVEX BCX through a paint strainer or cheesecloth when filling the sprayer to prevent nozzle clogging. Apply the first coat using an airless or tank-type sprayer, uniformly wetting the surface without puddling. Puddles will dry clear. Microfiber pads, squeegees, trowels, and back-rolling are approved for both vertical and horizontal applications.

If decorative media is desired, evenly broadcast flake, quartz, or silica sand while the first coat is wet. Allow the surface to dry for 10–30 minutes or until dry to the touch. Remove all loose broadcast material, then apply a second coat to encapsulate and seal the broadcast layer.

Allow ARMOVEX BCX to cure for 4–6 hours before light foot traffic and 24–72 hours before heavy or vehicular traffic, depending on temperature and humidity. Clean all tools and sprayers immediately with warm, clean water.

Interrupted Installation

If application is interrupted by rain, mark the place of interruption and resume application as soon as weather permits. If the delay exceeds four hours, contact ARMOVEX technical support for guidance.

Hot Weather Installation

Do not apply in temperatures above 120°F (48°C). Contact ARMOVEX technical support for additional information.

Cold Weather Installation

Do not apply in temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Contact ARMOVEX technical support for additional information.

Storage & Handling

ARMOVEX BCX has a two-year shelf life when stored in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent evaporation and contamination.
